Aluminum Can Recycling
Apparently, the spot-price for Shredded UBC (used beverage containers) is 55 cents a pound according to http://www.recycle.net/Metal-N/Aluminum/index.html. Since there are approximately 25 cans to a pound, that means that if you had access to the facilities to shred and separate aluminum cans, would make 2.2 cents a can. Just FYI.

I think this post might show that im not sure what you're saying but... you make 5 cents per can when you take it back for a deposit, why would you sell it for less?
Ohh, you're saying it costs more to recycle than it does to make a new one?

This was just a question that B-Ran and I had today. Just brainstorming.
